Howie goes after Mitt for not donating to any federal Mass. GOP candidates during the election while heaping contributions elsewhere. There is a case to be made that Mitt was smart enough to realize he shouldn't throw good money after bad when it comes to the 'penny stock' state Republican party. But not even a chump-change $100 donation? Fifty bucks? Ten? Five? Not even a nickel? ...
Update -- John catches a good David Broder column on Mitt. Broder's description of Mitt's record as being 'mixed' is accurate. His description of Mitt being a 'staunch conservative' is simply wrong. Mitt's political positions have always depended heavily on what day, state and election it is at a given moment. ...
